Big Rock Jungle Joshua Tree National Park Scenic Landscape California.
Where Two Deserts Meet
Two distinct desert ecosystems, the Mojave and the Colorado, come together in Joshua Tree National Park. A fascinating variety of plants and animals make their homes in a land sculpted by strong winds and occasional torrents of rain. Dark night skies, a rich cultural history, and surreal geologic features add to the wonder of this vast wilderness in southern California. - https://www.nps.gov/jotr/index.htm

Maasai Man Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tanzania - We had the pleasure of meeting and greeting a lot of people in the village at Ngorongoro Maasai Village when we first arrived in our Land Rover Safari vehicle.
The Maasai (Kenyan English:[maˈsaːɪ]) are a Nilotic ethnic group inhabiting southern Kenya and northern Tanzania. They are among the best known local populations due to their residence near the many game parks of the African Great Lakes, and their distinctive customs and dress. The Maasai speak the Maa language (ɔl Maa), a member of the Nilo-Saharan family that is related to Dinkaand Nuer. They are also educated in the official languages of Kenya and Tanzania, Swahili and English. The Maasai population has been reported as numbering 841,622 in Kenya in the 2009 census, compared to 377,089 in the 1989 census.
The Tanzanian and Kenyan governments have instituted programs to encourage the Maasai to abandon their traditional semi-nomadic lifestyle, but the people have continued their age-old customs. Recently, Oxfam has claimed that the lifestyle of the Maasai should be embraced as a response to climate change because of their ability to produce food in deserts and scrublands. Many Maasai tribes throughout Tanzania and Kenya welcome visits to their village to experience their culture, traditions, and lifestyle.

Red Colobus Monkeys - Featured in GRUPPO Contemporary
The Zanzibar red colobus (Procolobus kirkii) is a species of red colobus monkey endemic to Unguja, the main island of the Zanzibar Archipelago, off the coast of Tanzania. It is also known as Kirk's red colobus after Sir John Kirk, the British Resident of Zanzibar who first brought it to the attention of zoological science. It is now classified as an endangered species and in the mid-1990s was adopted as the flagship species for conservation in Zanzibar. The population is still decreasing, and conservationists are attempting to work with the local government to devise a proper, effective strategy to protect the population and habitat. Challenges include the species' habitat, which is limited to the archipelago. The species has been reclassified twice; it was previously in the genus Colobus, and more recently in the genus

Yes, and No. There is a use for both or all formats going from an 8x10 inch to 6x17 to 4x5 to 6x6 Medium format to 35mm, Digital and iPhone Smartphone - all has its own use. We are only just discovering and in the process, of course, there is noise as to where it is going and taking over. Pick up a medium format Hasselblad and take a photograph of a landscape or nude, the discipline and your thoughts will be different. Use each as a tool for what you see and not the other way around.
Cheers!

Strolling by the vast nostalgic cinematic Oregon coast.
On a road trip through Oregon, I came upon this gorgeous spot where the ocean waves were tumultuously declaring it's love to the sand, repeatedly kissing the sand at different moments whereupon I noticed the love was being shared in tranquillity by a couple walking along the waterline on the beach. The mystical sky added to the vast distant mysterious ocean and colours. I rushed quickly to grab my Nikon and my 70-200 mm Nikkor VR IF-ED F2.8 lens and my Gitzo carbon fibre tripod from the trunk of my BMW Z4 roadster. I took a deep breath to capture and breathe the moment before carefully placing the couple at the point I wanted them in and snapped 3 shots. As I turned I saw yet another gorgeous moment which I will share in another photograph. Capturing landscapes is a moment of escape for me for the tranquillity and stillness is absolutely spiritual.

Summer Waves Cape Lookout Oregon Coast Framed Print. A view of the waves rolling along Oregon coast from Cape Lookout in Netarts Bay along Whiskey Creek Road on a sunny summer day with the gorgeous ocean waves.
That sunny afternoon in the BMW Z4 Roadster Black with Beige leather interior with the soft top down and having cruised the Pacific Coast Highway it was wonderful to come up to this spot and stop! The tripod went up and the Nikon D800 with a lens I love, at that sunny afternoon it made sense to catch the moment as the ocean waves broke the shore....
Enjoy, as a canvas or framed print.

Dhow is the generic name of a number of traditional sailing vessels with one or more masts with lateen sails used in the Red Sea and Indian Ocean region. Some historians claim the dhow was invented by Arabs or Indians, but the majority give the credit to the Chinese. Typically sporting long thin hulls, dhows are trading vessels primarily used to carry heavy items, like fruit, fresh water or merchandise, along the coasts of the Eastern Arabia (Arab states of the Persian Gulf), Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and East Africa. Larger dhows have crews of approximately thirty, smaller ones typically around twelve.
The exact origins of the dhow are lost to history. Most scholars believe that it originated in China between 600 B.C. to 600 A.D[citation needed]. Some claim that the sambuk, a type of dhow, may be derived from the Portuguese caravel.
Even to the present day, dhows make commercial journeys between the Persian Gulf and East Africa using sails as their only means of propulsion. Their cargo is mostly dates and fish to East Africa and mangrove timber to the lands in the Persian Gulf. They often sail south with the monsoon in winter or early spring, and back again to Arabia in late spring or early summer.

The Yemeni Hadhrami people, as well as Omanis, for centuries came to Beypore, in Kerala, India for their dhows. This was because of the good timber in the Kerala forests, the availability of good coir rope, and the skilled carpenters who specialized in ship building. In former times, the sheathing planks of a dhow's hull were held together by coconut rope. Beypore dhows are known as 'Uru' in Malayalam, the local language of Kerala. Settlers from Yemen, known as 'Baramis', are still active in making urus in Kerala.
In the 1920s, British writers identified Al Hudaydah as the center for dhow building. Those built in Al Hudaydah were smaller in size, and used for travel along the coasts. They were constructed of acacia found in Yemen.
Captain Alan Villiers (1903-82) documented the days of sailing trade in the Indian Ocean by sailing on dhows between 1938 and 1939 taking numerous photographs and publishing books on the subject of dhow navigation.
Even to the present day, dhows make commercial journeys between the Persian Gulf and East Africa using sails as their only means of propulsion. Their cargo is mostly dates and fish to East Africa and mangrove timber to the lands in the Persian Gulf. 10 Things That Make A Girl Beautiful Instead Of Hot
Her passions define her more than her looks - There is nothing more beautiful than a woman with passion. A girl who gets excited about things, lives for things and holds things close to her heart is a girl worth knowing. She's the girl you'd rather talk to in bed than take to bed. Because passion is contagious and watching someone get excited about something is the most beautiful quality you can find in someone.

Woman standing alone in a wind farm desert landscape.
A desert is a barren area of land where little precipitation occurs and consequently living conditions are hostile for plant and animal life. The lack of vegetation exposes the unprotected surface of the ground to the processes of denudation. About one third of the land surface of the world is arid or semi-arid. This includes much of the polar regions where little precipitation occurs and which are sometimes called polar deserts or "cold deserts". Deserts can be classified by the amount of precipitation that falls, by the temperature that prevails, by the causes of desertification or by their geographical location.

Landscape of the Trona Pinnacles in California.
The Trona Pinnacles are an unusual geological feature in the California Desert National Conservation Area. The unusual landscape consists of more than 500 tufa spires (porous rock formed as a deposit when springs interact with other bodies of water), some as high as 140 feet (43 m), rising from the bed of the Searles Lake (dry) basin. The pinnacles vary in size and shape from short and squat to tall and thin, and are composed primarily of calcium carbonate (tufa). They now sit isolated and slowly crumbling away near the south end of the valley, surrounded by many square miles of flat, dried mud and with stark mountain ranges at either side.
The Pinnacles are recognizable in more than a dozen hit movies. Over thirty film projects a year are shot among the tufa pinnacles, including backdrops for car commercials and sci-fi movies and television series such as Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, Disney's Dinosaur, The Gate II, Lost in Space, and Planet of the Apes.
In recent literature, the Trona Pinnacles are at the crux of Gods Without Men by Hari Kunzru.

Summer Girl Summer Jump
Whether you're breaking a sweat regularly or totally slacking, it's time for a change. To get a smoking hot bikini body this summer, you have to shock your muscles to get it into sizzling shape.
It takes about three weeks for a fit woman to adapt to a new routine, says metabolic training expert B.J. Gaddour, CEO of StreamFIT.com. That means as you do a workout over and over again, it eventually gets easier and your body doesn't have to work as hard. In this case, effortless isn't a good thing: When your body isn't challenged, you burn fewer calories and your metabolism and results flatline exactly what you don't want to happen when your goal is scoring a bikini body.
To burn more fat and build more lean muscle, you have to throw your body a curveball. Enter our one-of-a-kind beach-body plan, created by Gaddour. These innovative moves are likely new to you--and your muscles. They'll work your entire body in a fast-paced series that will stoke your metabolism and jack up your heart rate. According to researchers, training this way can torch about 500 calories an hour, plus an extra 300 calories in the 24 hours after your workout. What's more, the plan is super-simple. All you need are two pairs of dumbbells (one light and one heavy; try five to 10 pounds for the lighter ones, 10 to 20 pounds for the heavier set, and adjust if needed), and each routine takes a little more than 30 minutes.

PRESS RELEASE
LUMAS LIMITED EDITIONS | NASSER+ FASHION NUDE ARCHITECTURE FINEART
Skyscrapers of luminous gold and silver hues rise up from the bright city streets into the night sky. Once the sun sets on Vancouver, the facade of the city, bathed in an iridescent glow, quickly transforms into an atmospheric backdrop for the city's night owls. In his large-format pieces, Amyn Nasser captures this remarkable mood and allows each glittering window to tell its story. The voyeur inside us is brought out, and we search for the hidden details behind the glass like enthusiastic detectives.
Amyn Nasser's Voyeur Nocturne body of work is the result of a ten-month project exploring Vancouver's high-rise jungle from unknown perspectives. His concept of exploring the essence of Vancouver at night through colour, contour, and light has produced a series of exceptional architectural photographs. Warm, metallic colours that range from glistening gold to silvery platinum to shimmering bronze are characteristic of Nasser's work. Though shot from afar, the city's silhouette is bathed in a harmonic light and emits a welcoming warmth, inviting us to linger the way a lit window does a silent observer.
Amyn Nasser's work is more than a mere tribute to the beauty of his adopted hometown. They can also be interpreted as a critical reflection of a society in which the boundaries between private and public have become fluid. Having already published spreads in Vogue and Harper's Bazaar as a fashion photographer, Nasser has won countless prizes for his architectural photography and plans to continue developing this body of work.

Press Release
Amyn Nasser's Voyeur Nocturne is a photographic celebration of Vancouver better known as the "city of glass". With its high population density relative to most other North American cities, urban planning in Vancouver is characterized by high-rise residential and mixed-use development in the city centre as an alternative to sprawl. Glass condominium towers dominate the skyline and have been credited in contributing to the city's high rankings in livability. Amyn Nasser has effectively captured this feeling unique to and defining of Vancouver where each layer symbolizes the excitement and vibrancy of inner city life. If windows are the eyes to the soul, can the same be said for the soul of a city?
The Voyeur Nocturne series resulted from a 10 month long project taking the photographer to different viewpoints across the city; many of the most spectacular shots are a product of careful planning and consideration. Reflections present both opportunity and challenge; windows aglow invite the viewer in. As evening comes and the lights go on, a routine scene quickly becomes something with character and mood.
Amyn Nasser's accredations and accolades extend internationally. From Paris to New York to Dubai, Nasser has been an established international fashion and celebrity photographer for over 25 years with editorials in Vogue, Vogue Hommes, Harper's Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Elle. The Voyeur Nocturne series was the only photography chosen to officially hang at the Olympic Village as chosen by Art Consultant, Miriam Aroeste. It was also acredited with an Honorable Mention at the LUCIE Pilsner Urquell International Photography Awards. In addition, Amyn was accredited by the Photography Master Cup - International Color Awards for both his nude and portrait work.
